Lavradores de Feitoria is a unique cooperative of 15 winemaking families from the Douro Valley, founded in 2000 with the famous Dirk Niepoort.
Lavradores' mission: to produce high-quality wines that reflect the character of the region, with respect for tradition and an eye for innovation.
The name refers to the “lavradores” – the farmers and winegrowers – who joined forces, combining their passion and expertise to stand stronger in an increasingly competitive market.
Located in the heart of the Douro, one of the world’s oldest demarcated wine regions, Lavradores de Feitoria manages over 600 hectares of vineyards spread across the Douro’s three subregions: Baixo Corgo, Cima Corgo, and Douro Superior. This geographical diversity allows them to produce complex, balanced wines – from fresh whites to powerful and elegant reds.
The terroir and grape varieties such as Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, and Rabigato are expressed in a distinctive and authentic way, resulting in wines with finesse, freshness, and a modern style that remains deeply rooted in the Douro's heritage.
